He was preceded in death by his father, James Marion Blue and a brother, Marion "Junior" Blue. Survivors include his wife, Catina Blue of Raleigh, NC; his mother of Newport News; 2 brothers, Theodore Henry (Jacqueline) Blue Sr of Richmond, VA and James Cornelius Blue Jr of Newport News. 3 sisters, Ida Christopher) Boyd of Newport News, Linda (Charles D) Brown of Hampton, VA and Geneva Hardy of Brooklyn, NY; brother in law, Samuel Griggs of Raleigh; 3 aunts, Lillie Russell, Mabie Hasty McLaughlin, Mable Johnson McLaughlin, all of Raleigh, NC; an uncle, Elmore McCrawe of Baltimore, MD; a son, Carl Carney; special niece, Teresa Hggins and special nephew, Myreo Brown. She was born July 5, 1925 in Schley County, GA, daughter of Clyde Clayton Black and Ina Lee Martin Black. She was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Minnie Martin, walter Black, Echo Bladk, Boisey Black, Doc Black and Calvin Black and a grandson, Reggie Bernard Monford. She and Robert Hayward Aldridge were married in December of 1947.
