Willie Brown Searcy was born May 15, 1959 in Sumter County, GA, son of M S Searcy and Lillie Pearl Searcy. He was employed at Davidson Rubber Company many years. He served 14 years in the US Navy. He died Saturday, August 18, 2007 at his home. Private servicew were held Saturday, August 25, 2007. Survivors include sons, Willie Brown Oxendine Searcy and Wade Bernard Searcy, both of Philadelphia, PA; a sister, Nina Harper; a nephew, Marcus Harper; a great niece, Tequilla Harper of Americus; aunts and uncles including Rosa Bell Reynolds of Americus, Francis Burton of Macon, DOris Baker, Hazel Baker and Mamie Baker of Americus, Clotte (Cornelius) Moore of Jacksonville, FL, Mary Lois Heath of Tifton, FLorice Smith of Miami, WIlliam Baker of Macon and Milton Searcy of Miami.

She was born October 15, 1892 in Lee County, GA, daughter of Gus and Fannie Trice. She was a member of Pleasant Baptist Church in Smithville and was the widow of Archella Slaughter. In 1989 she lived with her niece, Mrs. Charlie L (Elijah) Reddick. In December 1995, she was a residence of Lillian G Carter Nusring Center in Plains. Survivors include three nieces, Mrs. Charlie L Reddick, Ms Laura Trice and Ms Jessie Trice; sister in law, Mrs. Lizzie Trice; nephews, Marcellous Trice, Robert Trice, Johnny Lee Trice, O D Trice and Elijah Reddick. A daughter, Fannie Lee Slaughter Robinson (born 1914 - died 1989)

Funeral services for J W Walker of Leslie, GA, who died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus, GA, will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2004 at St John Baptist Church with Reverend C James officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was born in Lee County, GA, son of Eddie Lee Jones and Mary Amos Walker. He was a member of St John Baptist Church. He worked as a truck frover for over 34 years. Survivors include 5 sons, Reginald Armstrong and Derek Armstrong of Cordele, GA, Travis Armstrong of Stone Mountain, GA, Eric Reddick of Eatonton, GA and Courtney Ross of Americus, GA; 7 sisters, Allena (David) Allen of Bay Shore, NY, Annie Carter of Fayetteville, NC, Ossie Bishop of Leslie, GA, Mary Lee (Leroy) Preston of Stone Mountain, GA, Veatrice (Sherman) Harvey of Cordele, GA, Vanessa Mosley of Leslie, GA and Sylvia Amos of Palmer Lake, CO; 7 brothers, Jessie (Gladys) Timmons, Willie Walker, Calvin (Rosemary) Jones and Ira (Mattie) Jones of Leslie, GA, Arthur Mosley of Bay Shore, NY, William (Beatrice) Jones of Orlando, FL;, Eddie (Loretta) Jones of Miami, FL; 4 aunts, Beatrice Johnson and Addie B Hightower of Leeseburg, GA, Ossie Johnson of Cobb, GA and Hattie Jones of DeSoto, GA.
