He was born November 9, 1929 in Crenshaw County, AL, son of Ezekier and Mamie G Provitt. He was an educator and served in the US Army, retired from Harris County School System. He was a member of Liberty hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Wayne Provitt of Huntsville, AL and Richard (Kimberly) Provitt of Montgomery, AL; a daughter, Adrienne Cecilia (George) watson; two sisters, Jessie Luckie, Bernice Provitt, both of Montgomery; two brothers, Willie James Provitt and Ezekiel Provitt, Jr.; five grandchildren, Kenneth Wayne Jr, Christopher, Richard Thomas Jr., Kiana and Tyler; sister in law, Sadie Thomas.

He was born June 19, 1915 in Midway, AL, son of Joe and Iona Pruett and retired as a service supervisor with NAF at the Officer’s Club of Fort Benning, GA with over 30 years service. He was a member of Greater St Mark A.M.E. Church. A daughter, Margaret Pruett, 6 sisters, a brother and a grandchild preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Ophelia B Pruett, son, Albert H (Sylvia) Brooks, Jr of Hephizabah, GA; daughters, Alberta (Rubin) Wrice of Augusta, GA and Linda Bragg of Columbus; sisters, Iona McMillan of Midway, AL; 10 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren.
