Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Tax, GA, with Reverend Jimmie Copeland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was born October 30, 1917 in Talbot County, GA, son of Effie King and Joe Daniel. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and later joined Second New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Annie Lois Daniel of Manchester; children, Vonell (Henry) Bond and Carolyn Hall of Michigan, Doshia Daniel of Manchester, GA, Janet Tillis and Reginald Daniel of Michigan and Ozell Daniel of Texas; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. |

M. C. Daniels died Sunday, February 6, 2005, was the son of Nelson and Viola Jolly Daniels, was born January 25, 1909 in Macon County, GA. He was a member of Felton Chapel C.M.E. Church. He and Gertrude Leggett were married in November 1928. They moved to Taylor County, GA. He was employed by a railroad company, a pipe layer and later with Wainwright Farms in Reynolds until he retired. His wife and three children preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Henry (Louise) Gibson of Roberta and J C Daniels of Oglethorpe; a sister, Mrs Eva (John) Respert of Hartford, CT; two daughters in law, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Daniels and Mrs. Anna Rene Daniels, both of Butler, a sister in law, MRs. Elberta Jones of Long Beach, CA; thirty-five grandchildren and fifty-two great grandchildren; fifteen great, great grandchildren. |
