He served in the US Army for 9 nears and was a supervisor at Swift Spinning and coach for Salley League White Sox Baseball team. Surviving is his son, John Farley of Lansing MI and Travis Starr; brothers, Ransom (Kate) Farley, Jr., of Augusta, GA, Eddie Farley and Herman (Barbara) Farley of Columbus, GA; sisters, Betty (Charlie) Ghant, Ida (Edward Walker, Sarah Meadows and Grace (Eddie) Calloway; a grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Elvenia and children, Lillie Mae (Floyd) Williams of Hamilton, Dorothy Jean (Peter) Blalock of Lewisville TX, and Mary Ann (Melvin) Parker of Camilla, GA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He served in the US Army during WW II.

He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Hamilton and was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lou Hall Farley. Survivors include sons, Willie D (Rita) Farley, Arnold (Verlinda) Farley and daughters, Linda (Ronald) Spellers and Sandra Farley of Columbus; sisters, Maddie and Annie M Thompson of Hamilton; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, niece, Mary Cozart.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa of Columbus; 8 sons, timothy Murphy, Tyrone Murphy, Demetrick Farrow, Zachary (Deveda) Farrow, John E Farrow Jr, Arico Farrow, Dewonn Farrow and Xazavioer Farrow Sr, all of COlumbus; 2 daughers, Gail Garrow of Fitzgeald, GA and Pamela Farrow of Hollywood, FL; 22 grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2007 at Nazareth Baptist CHurch. Reverend Harry McCall will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Bloom Baptist Church Cemetery in Mystic, GA.
