Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2005 in the Main Post Chapel with burial in the Main Post Cemetery. He was born August 7, 1943 in Rome, GA, son of the late John and Armanda Irvin. He retired with 25 years of military service. He became a barber instructer at Southeastern Beauty School and owner of Soul Beauty and Barber Shop. Survivors include his wife, Chong Cha Irvin of Columbus; 4 sons, 2 daughters, Thoni McBee and Tonya McBee of Columbus. four brothers, John Irvin, Robert Irvin and Howard Irvin of Rome, GA and Fred Irvin of Palm Bay, FL; two sisters, Rosa Jones and barbara Macon of Cleveland, OH; 3 grandchildren. |

Surviving is his wife, Alfreda; three daughters, Margaret Ashe, Columbus, Mary Helen Jones and Alfreda Jenkins of Atlanta; five sisters, Dorothy Irvin and Sarah Ford of Richland, Elsie Williams, Columbus, Emma Collier and Sue Cameron of Atlanta; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. |

She was born July 5, 1940 in Macon County, GA, daughter f the late Artis Brown and Susie Walton Brown. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Eugene Ivory Sr, her daughter Zera Mae Brown, her grandmothers, Parakneece Vanilla Harpe and Anfernee Byse; siblings, Ella Mae Duncan and Coretha Brown. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church in Oglethorpe. She retired from Southern Frozen Foods with 25 years service.
