She retired as cafeteria manager at Carver Elementary School after 30 years service. She was a member of Carters Monumental C.M.E. Church and was the widow of Johnny W Kendrick. Survivors include a daughter, Jean (John) Harris of Columbus and Detroit; granddaughter, Eleanor Matthews of Columbus; 2 great grandchildren, Karseem (Danielle) Matthews Sr of Colorado Springs, CO and DeShannon Matthews of Columbus; a great, great grandson, Karseem Matthews, Jr of Colorado Springs. Funeral services will be held at Carters Monumental C.M.E. Church at 3:30 Tuesday, with burial in Green Acres Cemetery.

She and Willie Mack Kennedy were married in 1957. Surviving are her husband, 3 stepchildren, Willie McKennedy, Freddie Mae Mitchell and Marvin McKennedy, all of Atlanta; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters in law, Miley Boynton of Americus, Wilma Bradshaw of Americus and Viola Hicks of Leesburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend A W Watts officiating with burial in Staley Memorial Cemetery.

He was a 1978 graduate of Columbus Technical College and a 1981 graduate of Chattahoochee Valley Community College and was a certified accountant. He was a 1978 graduate of COlumbus Technical College and a 1981 graduate of Chattahoochee Valley Community College. He was a Certified Accountant. Survivors include his wife, Betty Chaney Killian; a daughter, Vanessa Steward, a grandson, Jeremy Shavers, all of Columbus; 2 brothers, James (Jean) Killian of Hamilton, VA and Samuel Killian of Miami, FL; and a sister, Betty Hawkins of Spokane, WA.
