Mrs Reatha Vinson, 86, of Fountain City Care Rehabilitation in Columbus, died Sunday, December 16, 2008. Funeral services will be held at noon, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in the chapel of Sconier's FUneral Home. Reverend David Hill will officiate. She was born October 18, 1921 in Ellaville, GA, daughter of Charlie and Eugene Vaughn. She was a former employee of the Farmer's Market and Valley Produce. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Vinson. Survivors include a daughter, Eula Mintz of COlumbus; 3 sisters, Mattie Cary, Emma Robinson of Pittsburg, PA and Pearlie Harris of Montezuma, GA; a grandson, Solomon Franklin Jr of Columbus; 2 great granddaughters, Deversir Gordon and Danielle Singletary, both of Columbus; 2 great, great grandchildren, Johnathan Gordon and Kristian Gordon, both of Columbus.

Funeral services for Arthur Volley of 203 Paynes Lane, Rising Fawn, GA, formerly of Ellaville, GA, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006 from Quebec Baptist Church with Reverend John H Hollis officiating and burial will follow in Hopewell cemetery. He was born October 13, 1939 in Ellaville, GA, son of the late Moses Volley and Mrs Effie Mae Warren Volley, who survives. Other survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mrs Beulah Wade Volley; 3 daughters, Ms Torie Volley, Ms Tamara Volley and Ms Shawna Volley; 4 brothers, James (Bernice) Volley, Ernest (Johnnie Mae) Volley, Willie C Volley and Roy Lee Volley; 5 sisters, Ms Mae Byrd-Green, Ms Mary Ann Edge, Ms Violet R Williams, Ms Doris (McNeil) Murray and Mrs Bettie 9Calvin) Wright.

Graveside services will be held at Antioch Baptist Church cemetery in Plains at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Reverend G. W. Nealy officiating. Surviving is her mother, Tonya Volley of Americus; her father, Luster Cook of Americus; a brother, Kareem Jarmal Volley; maternal grandparents Linwood and Catherine Volley of Americus; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Emma Cook of Americus; greatgrandfather, Carl Munns, Sr.; three uncles, Linwood Volley, Jr. of Atlanta and Larry Volley and Dexter Volley of Americus; four aunts, Mrs. Barbara Cooks, Ms Linda McCray and Ms Irene Volley of Americus and Ms Jennifer Volley of Albany.
