Mrs Martha L Hairston, daughter of the late Joseph Walton and Annie Walton Strum, was born March 27, 1941 in Parrott, GA. She was a member of Mt Tabor Baptist Church in Columbus. She was a graduate of Spencer High School and retired from Sunshine Biscuit Company in 2004 with 19 years service. She died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at her home, 1107 52nd Street in Columbus. She was preceded in death by a brother, Willie J Walton and a grandson, Demetri R Manriquez. Survivors include 2 daughters, Charlene Manriquez (Randy D) Moore, Sonia A (Albert Jr) Davenport; brother, Joseph Sr (SYlvia) Walton, Joan Walton; grandchildren, Joshua Davenport, Reginald Davenport, cousin, Mrs Mildred (Reverend Joe) Andrews. Survivors include her mother, grandmother and sister. Funeral services will be held at St Thomas Episcopal CHurch in Columbus with Reverend Harry Carlsen officiating. Burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens will be private at a later date. |
