Survivors include a daughter, Deidrice (DeDe) (Michael) Carlisle of Stockbridge, GA; 2 grandchildren, Kia Carlisle and J'Mal Carlisle of Stockbridge; 2 sisters, Mrs Garinell (Harold) Davis of Covington, GA and Sharon Shealey of Deadeville, AL; 3 brothers, Robert Lewis, Lawrence (Catrina Johnson and Vince (Toni) Johnson, all of Dadeville; 2 aunts, Mrs Patricia (John) Colbert and Mrs Mary Raney, all of Columbus. She was a Muscogee County Georgia Public Servant for the Victim's Witness Program for 18 years and was employed by General Electric for over 18 years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 29, 2008 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. |

He was born October 5, 1931 in Headland, AL, son of J B and Avis Jackson. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring as a SFC with 24 years service. He lived in Columbus since 1970 and was owner/operator of Jackson & Son's Seafood Marker for 20 years. He and his late wife, Reverend Thomasina Goodwin Jackson founded the Christ Cathedral Outreach Ministries where was Senior pastor. He was preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Jackson. Survivors include 2 sons, Reverend Albert James (Reverend Carolyn) Jackson, Jr. and Mark Jackson of Atlanta; 2 daughters, Reverend Sharon (Norris) Billins and Kathy Jackson, both of Columbus; 8 grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Linda)Jackson of Dothan, AL; 2 sisters, Reverend Quincy (Reverend Frank) Guns of Norfolk, VA and Ruby Bell of Barton, FL. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at The Memnant Church International, with Bishop L D Skinner officiating. Burial will be in the Main Post Cemetery at Fort Benning, GA. |
